Abstract:
This article synthesizes the approach of public organizations regarding digital transformation in their daily operations, based on an analysis of existing literature. It is based on a narrative approach which presents the results of previous articles. It provides concrete answers regarding the reasons and benefits of integrating digital transformation within public organizations. Moreover, it sheds light on the main challenges and the process involved in achieving this transformation. Finally, it emphasizes the necessary management tools to ensure the smooth progress and achievement of set objectives in this strategy. The conclusions highlight that digital transformation offers an almost limitless horizon of benefits. It is perceived as a dynamic process rather than a static situation, influenced by both external and internal factors. By analyzing the literature, five key pillars of success for digital transformation within public organizations have been identified. It particularly emphasizes the importance of implementing steering measures through establishing a robust roadmap and adopting a continuous improvement process. These adjustments can prompt cultural and organizational developments within these institutions, strengthen connections with their public sector partners, and most importantly, enhance citizen satisfaction
