Abstract: The Purchasing function has undergone considerable change in all industries over the last two decades. As part of new product development (NPD), 56% of A chat departments in France wish to define innovation partners (Deloitte, 2019). In parallel, most research has resulted in a panoply of models and taxonomies that attempt to identify the new roles of the Purchasing function. These models are often mobilized in the context of qualitative research (Viale, 2018 ; Stek, 2021 ; Johnsen e t al., 2022 ; Picaud Bello et al., 2022 ). But they nevertheless provide a favorable context for the present study.
