Abstract: The Covid-19 epidemic caused a financial and economic crisis for most sectors, including the participatory banking sector. In fact, the activity of participatory banks was totally stopped due to the state of health emergency and the containment demanded by the authorities on notaries and companies, considered to be the main production factors of banks. In this context, our research shows the impact of the Covid-19 crisis on Moroccan participatory banks, as well as the measures taken by the different financial actors, namely the central bank, the banks, the Islamic financial institutions, and the financing and recovery mechanisms proposed by these different market actors. In this article, we will rely on a descriptive analysis methodology of the main financial indicators (GNP, total deposits, net income...) to see the impact of the health crisis on the participatory banking sector. While exploiting the statistics published by the central bank (Bank Al Maghreb) and the participatory banks that have published their financial communications, our study shows that participatory banks have remained resilient, despite a rather difficult first half of the year 2020.
