Abstract:
Companies created by the unemployed are expected to have less growth. However, even though they were unemployed, entrepreneurs have different experience and motivations to grow their companies. These aspects can explain growth variations in new companies. The analysis of several moderations on a database of 304 entrepreneurs allows to understand the complex relationship between the personal characteristics, unemployment, and growth of the company.
