Abstract:
Measuring the accessibility of care in nursing homes (Ehpads) is a key-element in the monitoring and evaluation of public policies for disabled elderly people. Such a measure must be conceptually relevant and coherent, but also routinely calculable using data produced by the public statistics system. This note describes how to compute the indicator of geographic and financial accessibility to Ehpads (AGFE) in the current French institutional context, as well as the first results obtained, at national and departmental level. Three data sources are used : tax data (FIDELI), the EHPA survey and data on Ehpad prices collected by the Caisse nationale de solidarité pour l'autonomie (CNSA).
