Abstract:
During the night from October 2 to 3, 2020, Storm Alex impacted southern France. "In the early moments, we didn't know what to do," but there was no room for selfishness, "it's solidarity nonetheless, rather than individualism." Three years after the disaster, a study funded by the ANR explains the behaviors of mutual aid, reciprocity, and solidarity as the foundation of local resilience to be integrated into the chain of actors in rescue operations and local authorities in disaster management.
