Abstract:
One of the public relations strategies used by the pharmaceutical industries is the recruitment of researchers attached to public institutions and more generally of scientists and doctors entitled to speak in the public space as experts. The recruitment and of the mediatization promotion of experts help develop the notoriety and authority of medical treatments and prescriptions. At the crossroad of philosophy of science, agnotology and information and communication sciences, this article examines an emblematic case of dark communication strategy in favour of the prescription in France of a controversial drug to treat premature ejaculation.
