Abstract:
This exploratory article analyzes the influence of value hierarchization in decision making in extreme situations, especially in the case of the army. The article observed if the values presiding over the identity of the organization are shared in a homogeneous way, then it questioned the effect of differences in the hierarchization of values between employees and the organization, more particularly if these differences can alter the confidence of the personnel to the point of inducing decision making that can deviate from the instructions given by the organization. This qualitative study highlights differences between the hierarchy of values decided by the organization and that adopted by the employees. It also shows differences between the different hierarchical groups of employees. Finally, the article proposes several avenues of reflection on the origin of these differences.
