Abstract:
This article highlights the managerial competencies that enable an inclusive environment. We used an autopraxeography method based on the experience of a manager of an international relations department at a French university. The content analysis of her testimony showed that her management, which could look like diversity management, is not. Indeed, she does not try to manage in terms of "diversity management", she has built a humanistic management where each person is respected and is a vector of achievement for the collective. Thus, she shows the importance of enveloping (respect, care, conviviality, openness to the Other, etc.) (Morin, 2020) the people who make up her team, but also the local and international students and all the stakeholders.
