Abstract:
The distribution scheme for natural resources established in the Middle East in the aftermath of the First World War on the ruins of the Ottoman Empire leads us to question their consequences in terms of economic growth. Since the wellfare of the populations is one of the determinants of peace on a regional scale, this question therefore finds its meaning.
