Abstract:
Since its creation in 1995, the CEFADES (Centre de formation et d'animation pour un développement solidaire), has been working with peasant groups in Beni-Butembo rural area. This article attempts to outline some kinds of methodology implemented by this organization, with emphasis on training, facilitation and accompaniment of agricultural activities. It analyzes or interprets some of its intervention strategies as approaches of joint development. As an influence center of the Université Catholique du Graben, it has as main objective to ensure a bridge between the academic world and the peasant one in order to ensure a true "crossing of village and university knowledge". In other words, this methodology consists of adapting university knowledge to the needs of the peasantry through agricultural innovations in rural areas.
