Abstract:
In an economic environment marked by innovation and competition, the skills, motivation and adaptability of human resources have become essential issues for companies seeking performance. In this context, the role of human resources management is considered fundamental for improving performance. While several studies examining the link between HRM and performance have been conducted by researchers, the causal link between these two concepts remains ambiguous. This link between human resources management and social performance is the core of our article. In this regard, we will present the result of a literature review of existing theories and works. The results of our research show the existence of several approaches and theoretical models demonstrating a positive link between HRM and performance, we will present the most mentioned in the literature; namely the universalist approach, the contingent approach, and the configurational approach.
