Abstract:
This article tackles an important issue, although understudied in the academic literature : the implementation of diversity management in a French higher education institution. Benefitting from the experiment of a business school which constructed a diversity management approach during a five-year intervention research, this study provides original findings. Indeed, it shows how a school can implement a diversity management approach from the introduction of a management tool : the diversity label. By analyzing the introduction of the diversity label in the organization, we capture the full dynamics of change. We identify a five-step process which leads to a more efficient development of diversity management.
