Abstract:
This article seeks to understand the impact of the governance of the translation process of a tourism development project on the evolution of controversies. It is based both on the conceptual field of controversies as open discussion spaces and on Actor-Network theory as an analytical framework. Based on action research carried out within the Communauté de communes du Grand Chambord over a three-year period, this unique case study characterises the controversies, summarises them and analyses their evolution, revealing the major role played by the various intermediaries working alongside the central translator.
