Abstract:
How to conciliate in the dynamics of a highly externalized company, a "relational firm", the joint evolution of internal and external spaces ? In particular, which are the changes that occur in the use of the three generic modes of coordination, hierarchies, markets and cooperation which define the concept of entanglement of ideal-typic coordination modalities ? The enrichment of conventions based on the dynamics of entanglement, and its sociological determinism, actors games combining conflicts and collaborations within social and sociotechnical networks, are at the core of this article. The confrontation of this theoretical model to a concrete case from the electricity sector informs on the possibility of new management tools to conduct the process of organizational change in highly externalized companies.
