Abstract:
Employerability – or the ability of employers to manage employment – has been little studied compared to the employability of employees. This research aims to study employerability from the perspective of its appropriation. To this end, we study 24 presidents of small associations (1 to 5 employees) and build a typology of 4 ideal-types: the employer by default, the professional employer, the employer by opportunity and the militant employer. This work contributes from a theoretical point of view to analyze how the function of employer and associative project can be articulated, and from a managerial point of view to help the presidents to embody their role of associative employer.
