Abstract:
This conference was organized in response to a request from the French Senate's "Agriculture, Livestock and Food" study group. Following the agricultural crisis at the beginning of 2024, this group wanted to gain an insight into the economic situation of French farms. Attended by some 70 senators, the 1:30-hour conference addressed several complementary points: i) farm income: what are we talking about? ii) income trends in French agriculture since 2010; iii) the weight of direct aid in income formation; IV) income dispersion per farm job; V) key economic performance indicators.
