Abstract: In 2010, a major actor in the men's mechanical man watches industry decided to destabilize a competitive balance that seems to be favorable. This decision is placed into theoretical perspective of the competitive dynamic. The analysis gives a better explanation of impacts and reactions according to firms divide in strategic groups. Finally, the strategic intention is discussed.
