Abstract:
Leadership development is a major challenge for organizations, and beyond. A number of theoretical models exist for designing and deploying pathways that have a lasting impact on the managers concerned. Reflexivity is considered an essential aspect of the experiential learning models that have been used in corporate training programs for several years now. New technologies make it possible to mobilize this aspect of learning to help teams adopt new behaviors and leadership practices in the field. Reflexivity, mobilized in a variety of ways, is said to be "instrumental" in that it serves the pre-existing rationality within the company without calling it into question. To be effective, this mobilization of managerial reflexivity could help develop a capacity for learning from experience, enabling managers to address social and environmental challenges of a different kind.
