Globalisation has created some opportunities, but also threats to companies that are not able to adapt quickly to a more complex and changing environment. When companies enter the international scene, a culture gain a whole new vision. Culture represents a factor of success and competitiveness, but at the same time business becomes more complicated and multiplies in these conditions. There are three central aspects of the analysis in this paper: culture in general and organisational culture, the context of international human resources management related to the cultural dimension, and the communication aspect of business in a multicultural environment.
