Abstract: this oral communication examines the development of telemedicine in France from the perspective of business intelligence for local social protection systems. Since the HPST law of 2009, a legal framework favourable to telemedicine has gradually been built up. Our questions are as follows: what are the new practices of mediation and intermediation in the territories, by these teleconsultation companies? What are the emerging risks in terms of the crisis of trust and data protection in organisations that are now globalised? We show that while telemedicine represents a major area for improvement in the French social protection system, particularly in areas where there are no medical centres, its current development brings with it new information and communication risks that are still insufficiently taken into account by legislators.
