Abstract: The French healthcare system is adopting patient-centred technological innovations to improve patient pathways. This study examines factors influencing the adoption of such innovations, focusing on the ViaTrajectoire tool – a regional IT platform involving patients, professionals, and institutions. Using a qualitative case study in a Grand Est hospital, data were collected via 13 semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. The research identifies factors promoting or hindering adoption, categorised into organisational, individual, and innovation-specific dimensions, based on a theoretical model. It evaluates the tool's usage, benefits, and limitations, while proposing contributions and future directions. A comprehensive literature review enriches the theoretical framework, shedding light on how technology adoption unfolds in healthcare contexts.
