Abstract: Due to the distinctive characteristics of this ground, litigation against discrimination in the workplace on the grounds of religious belief is constrained in its scope. The challenges in identifying this type of discrimination in French law are impeding the advancement of legal action, even though the phenomenon can often be systemic.
