Abstract: In a constantly changing organizational environment, team performance is becoming a strategic vector for competitiveness, innovation and sustainability. However, its conceptualization and measurement remain particularly complex, due to the diversity of disciplinary approaches and the absence of standardized tools. This article explores this complexity through a systematic qualitative review of the scientific literature in management and administration, inspired by the PRISMA protocol. An analysis grid was used to compare different definitions, models and measurement tools. Thematic content analysis has enabled us to identify the main constituent dimensions of the concept of team performance, as well as the theoretical and empirical approaches to its evaluation. The study thus highlights the multiplicity of disciplinary perspectives and analytical frameworks, while calling for a systemic approach that takes account of team results and processes. Particular attention has also been paid to the transformations brought about by the digitization of work and the evolution of organizational structures. These changes, by overturning modes of collaboration and performance benchmarks, make the assessment of team performance even more complex. They call for a critical review of classic models and the exploration of new avenues of research adapted to contemporary work realities. With this in mind, we propose a contextualized Systemic Model of Team Performance (STPM), which articulates and enriches the IPO, IPOO and IMOI approaches, in order to better apprehend current complexity and provide a framework of analysis adaptable to contemporary organizational contexts.
