Abstract:
This chapter revisits Pfeffer and Sutton's (2006) seminal work on Evidence-Based Management, which challenges widespread harmful half-truths in managerial practices. The author highlights the continued relevance of this approach in addressing current organizational challenges such as technological acceleration, inclusion policies, and fashionable management trends. The chapter criticizes the prevailing academic model that favors rapid publication over rigorous, transferable, and accessible knowledge. It calls for reasserting the researcher's role as a knowledge producer serving managerial action, rather than merely contributing to the overproduction of scholarly papers.
