Abstract: The Study focuses on talent management and organizational performance in selected manufacturing firms in Enugu State Nigeria. Specifically the study aimed to pursue the following objectives to identify the effect of talent planning on organizational performance, ascertain the extent to which employee development affect organizational performance and determine the effect compensation/reward on organizational performance, . The study had a population size of (2672) of employees of the selected two manufacturing firms (Nigeria Breweries plc and Innosson technical industry) and sample of 400 were derived using Yamane, Taro [1] sample size determination formula. The total number of 400 copies of the questionnaire was distributed while 385 copies were properly filled/returned & used while 15 copies were not properly filled. Survey research design was adopted for the study. Three hypotheses were tested using simple linear regression. The findings indicated talent planning has a significant positive effect on organizational performance. Employee development significantly affects organizational performance. Compensation/reward significantly affect organizational performance. The study recommends that Manufacturing firms should establish an equity reward system among employees and at the same time pay them at when due, which will motivate them to put in their best in discharging their duties.
