Abstract:
Chemical or nuclear facility accidents, health scandals related to the use of hazardous substances, extreme weather events, chemical or radiological environmental pollution... A crisis, particularly one that is highly publicized and even accompanied by rumors, leads public authorities to seek the expertise of specialized organizations. This article, the fourth and final in a series co-authored by INRS and IRSN, presents the strengths of both organizations, their shared concerns, and their specific challenges in the field of crisis management.
