Abstract:
This paper proposes a framework to analyze agricultural innovations, by combining learning processes at farm scale and innovation support services at organizations scale. It has been applied to two communes from the Middle West in Madagascar about innovation related to new leguminous crops. Results show that learnings are driven by supporting approaches from research and development actors and by the type of tools they used. Supporting approaches mainly prioritize the transfer of technology approach but new tools derived from multi-stakeholders approaches have been recently developed.
