Abstract:
The Mediterranean citrus harvest will see a distinct shortfall in 2022-23, with abnormal climate conditions causing big drops, especially in the region's major producer countries. The volumes available for the EC market (expanded to include the UK) are set to be restrained, with some of the main suppliers hard hit. While the supply should be limited, at least in some periods, what will happen to sales in a context of the return to high inflation, making a big impact on household budgets in some countries?
