Abstract:
There are campaigns which are simple to analyse, and others less so. The 2024 campaign clearly belongs to the latter category. Between the underlying shifts in production, the impact of the El Niño phenomenon and the effects of the political crisis in the Red Sea, it is really difficult to get a clear view. Nonetheless Peru's production shortfall seems to be crucial, although its scale seems to vary greatly according to the period in question. FruiTrop offers this comprehensive review of this hard-to-read campaign.
