Abstract:
Avocado cultivation on the Lebanese coast is booming, taking advantage of the country's climate assets, especially in terms of water. Surface areas, still modest at around 3 600 ha, are on the increase, as is production, estimated at 12 000 t in 2023-24. A rising proportion of small growers, which make up the bulk of the industry, are turning to EC market quality and certification standards.
