Abstract: As every year, the 2025 banana contract price negotiations were a reflection of the state of mind of the European banana market players. Anticipated supply and demand levels, ambitious strategies by some operators and the attitude of the European supermarket sector with the economy in crisis, etc. led to a general stabilisation in prices, while cost prices, especially in production, are constantly rising.
