Abstract: The primary purpose of this study is to analyse the consumer perception and purchase intention of electric vehicles in India. As India is facing environmental problems, the government is producing positive policies to stimulate the sales of electric vehicles through which the country can meet the UN climate goals of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, India is one of the largest vehicle markets in the world, and the electric vehicles market has promising growth potential. This study adopts a quantitative approach and surveys to explore the problem statement. The influence of factors affecting the consumers' willingness to purchase electric vehicles and the level of consumer perception about electric vehicles in India, is empirically tested in this research. It provides insights for EV manufacturers and the government on the expectations of the consumers on Electric vehicles in India.
