Abstract: The performance of companies depends on the adaptation of the company's business model to changes in its environment. Using a longitudinal case study conducted in real time, the objective of the study is to analyze the change in business model of an SME in the context of its changing environment. Our analysis focuses on voluntary and emergent changes, and even more specifically, on the nature of the paradoxical tensions (Smith and Lewis, 2011) at work in this change of business model. We show that the business model of the company is modified according to the evolution of its environment and the internal tensions. Applying the paradox grid of Smith and Lewis (2011) shows the nature of the priorities to be managed.
