Abstract: Happiness today? Yes—and within everyone's reach. In this major work, Yves Roucaute recounts and completes humanity's most vital quest: the pursuit of happiness. From the Neolithic age and the first Sumerian civilizations to our contemporary world, he retraces humanity's journey toward self-awareness as a creative being. Philosophers, scientists, and artists engage in dialogue — Parmenides, Heraclitus, Plato, Aristotle, Epicurus, Augustine, Aquinas, Montaigne, Rabelais, Descartes, Pascal, Spinoza, Leibniz, Kant, Hegel, Nietzsche, Bergson, Marx, Kierkegaard, Heidegger, Sartre, Camus, Arendt, Foucault, Deleuze, Derrida…, as well as Newton, Einstein, Planck, Heisenberg, Schrödinger, Curie, Tesla… Through Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Judaism, Christianity, Shintoism, and Islam, Roucaute explores the great paths of wisdom and truth. He demonstrates that human singularity — Homo creator — provides the key to reality itself: the proof of immortality of the "I" incarnated in the "me"; the scientific proof of the existence of God through creativity; and the formula of happiness, expressed in one word: Create! Happiness Today shows that science, philosophy, and spirituality converge toward a single truth: happiness is not a psychological illusion but the realization of man's creative nature — the union of knowledge, freedom, and spirit in the creative act.
