Abstract:
Strategic innovation consists of an organization radically changing the rules of competition by proposing a new value to customers while controlling costs for the organization. Our study will focus on the case of the EuropaCorp company which proposed a strategic innovation in the cinema complex sector in 2013 and which failed. Why does an organization fail even though the principles of strategic innovation are respected? The methodology of this analysis is based on case study through a literature review. Our results show that it is possible to fail in a strategic innovation process. The explanation comes from the insufficient radicality of the new business model.
