Abstract:
Applying the rational choice model to electoral behaviours help provide a deeper understanding of the reasons why people vote or abstain from voting. The goal of this article is to present the literature on electoral abstention within the framework of the Riker and Ordeshook's equation and show its scientific fecundity.
