Abstract: These lecture notes do not cover every advantage offered by the Java language, but they do present the essentials that a beginner needs to know to program effectively while applying object-oriented principles. Key concepts for getting started with Java are introduced, such as class declarations and the syntax for writing the instructions contained within them. We cover five of the six object-oriented principles, detailing how they are used. Learners should be able to put these principles into practice and understand their importance in their daily programming routine. The section on graphical interfaces demonstrates how the previously discussed code is utilized to meet user needs. This material is based on the instructor's experience and an assessment of the knowledge a programmer requires from the very beginning.
