Abstract: The calculation of the HDI at the regional scale for Morocco in 2014 shows significant differences between Moroccan regions. Indeed, the three HDI components of education, health, and standard of living rank some regions (Casablanca-Settat region and southern regions) in the category of high human development countries, while that the rest of the regions fall into disparate ranks in the category of medium-economic developing countries. These disparities in human development between Moroccan regions confirm first of all the cleavage between highly urbanized areas (in particular the Casablanca-Settat region and the southern regions) and other rural areas (Beni Mellal-Khénifra, Drâa). Tafilalt, ..), but they are also the result of a disparate infrastructure (social and economic) between the Moroccan regions which accentuates the spatial differences in terms of valorization of human capital (schools, universities, hospitals ...) and in terms of rehabilitation of space (transport infrastructure, economic equipment, etc.)
