Abstract: In the context of a roundtable discussion on the theme "Healthcare Collaboration: From the International to the Local Level," this presentation illustrates how a hospital-based Fablab operates, serving as a symbol of collaboration across multiple disciplines. Starting with a description of the Fablab, we draw on E. Wenger's work on communities of practice to analyze this empirical case. This theoretical framework highlights: the mutual commitment of the actors, the definition of a common goal, the development of a shared repertoire, and the potential capacity to transcend boundaries.
