Abstract: This paper questions: what are the critical success factors that support the implementation of Industry 4.0 competencies into TVET programme offerings? The scope of our study is programme offerings targeting STEM fields at the tertiary level across 15 countries in Indo-Pacific. The study evaluated the 'actions already taken'; a survey questionnaire was used to collect data. The findings identified staff capacity development, supportive culture, availability of resources, and public awareness as critical success factors. In addition, TVET institution type and annual growth rate of real GDP per employed person boost the relationship. That is, TVET colleges are in a weaker position in implementations; countries with higher annual growth rate of real GDP per employed person have implemented more.
