Abstract: Barriers to developing the repairability of products appear to be relatively small. This chapter focuses on the effect of a lever that can be used by both manufacturers and users of household appliances to support product repairability: a "repairability" label. It aims to provide a better understanding of the effect of a "repairability" label on purchasing behavior in relation to household electrical products. Information directed at consumers is indeed a key factor in making the repairability of products a selling point and a purchasing criterion. Repairability is an argument for increasing consumer loyalty to the brand and it can enhance the image of a responsible company that is committed to combating product obsolescence and the creation of waste. Repairability seems to be a fundamental concept that favors both responsible consumption and corporate social responsibility.
