Abstract: As in the rest of the French non-profit sector, sports clubs are experiencing changes in their environment that are forcing them to modify their operating habits. To maintain their activities, they are turning to new actors, both internal (employees, members) and external (foundations, partners, etc.), who are more demanding in return. Volunteer leaders may feel a gap between the meaning of their commitment and the day-to-day reality of running a club. The aim of this research is to reveal all the resources that managers can develop through effective management.
