Abstract: The literature on organizational creativity is driven by multiple approaches that mainly analyze creativity at the individual and group levels. A recent contribution, the organizational capabilities approach, argues that the creative capabilities of organizations are based on routines that facilitate creative acts and the production of valuable ideas: equipment, openness, socialization, agility, and idea management. Creativity thus appears as a complex organizational capability that nourishes dynamic and innovative capabilities by providing the ideas that are essential for organizational evolution and renewal.
