Abstract: Digital servitization of manufacturing companies is a significant transformation which tend to create organizational tensions. Some studies tried to identify the origins of these tensions thanks to the theory of paradoxes. These writings are either focused on traditional servitization, or on companies that are used to commercialize solutions integrating digital products and services. In this empirical study, we study a global French company by analyzing the digital transformation of a servitized offer impact on the paradoxes faced by the company. In particular, we show that digital servitization pathways, front-end or back-end, create or reinforce different types of paradoxes.
