Abstract:
While the fight against drug trafficking, particularly cocaine, has become an international issue, France, through its overseas territories, is directly impacted. To address this challenge, France has adopted specific legislation (law of 13 June 2025), aimed at breaking out of the drug trafficking trap by integrating provisions (seizure of offshore bank accounts, seizure of ships, real estate and business assets) on the laundering of money derived from this trafficking, and by intensifying administrative intelligence capacities (informants, telephone tapping, surveillance and shadowing).
