Abstract: Over the past fifty years, the notion of projects has become a key mode of organization in both companies and public institutions, transforming collective action through "projectification" (Midler 1995). This process has disrupted permanent structures and redefined project management. The article traces these developments from the 1980s to the present and shows how current transitions open new research perspectives.
