Abstract:
This article offers a comparative analysis of the economic thought of Jacques Rueff and the ordoliberals. It aims to go beyond a mere doctrinal and theoretical comparison to highlight their approach to economic governance, emphasizing the central role of the legal framework and institutional arrangements. Without claiming full assimilation, the article draws on concrete examples implemented by Rueff and the ordoliberals to explore the depth of their affinities while acknowledging their differences.
