Abstract: This book offers an integrative overview of organizational theory through a paradigmatic approach. It traces the evolution of managerial thought from rationalist models focused on structure and efficiency, to social and systemic perspectives emphasizing human dynamics and interdependence. Environmental and neo-institutional paradigms further highlight the role of external constraints, legitimacy, and institutional frameworks in shaping organizational behaviour. The analysis then shifts toward the culturalist paradigm, which explores organizations as systems of meaning, symbols, and power relations. Finally, the book examines the digital and post-organizational paradigm, where digitalization, platforms, and artificial intelligence redefine organizations as fluid, networked, and hybrid systems. By articulating these perspectives, the book shows that organizations are complex and evolving realities that cannot be captured by a single model, but require a plural and reflexive understanding.
