Abstract: Founded in August 2011 by Dr. Wander Numa, the Franco-Haitian University of Cap-Haïtien (UFCH) is a private, non-profit institution accredited by the Haitian Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP). This study day is part of a broader reflection on the dynamics of knowledge decentralization and scientific production in peripheral contexts. It raises the question of the contribution of provincial higher education institutions to the social, economic, and cultural transformation of a developing country. Celebrating fifteen years of existence, the UFCH aims to document its own institutional journey and stimulate the production of knowledge rooted in Haitian realities, while also embracing comparative and international perspectives.
